Mechanical Engineering is concerned with the design, manufacture, operation and maintenance of all types of machineries like steam engines, internal combustion engines, gas turbines, steam turbines, power plants, agriculture machines, machine tools (Lathe, Milling, Shaper, Drill, Planer, Welding Sets, CNC machines etc), refrigerators, air conditioners, coolers, cement plants, steel plants, textile machinery, paper mills and so on. There are 6 computer centers, well equipped with 6 powerful servers for Networking in Win NT 4.0, SCO UNIX and Windows 2000, connectivity using the advantages of star topology. In addition the computer centers have 250 Pentium-IV systems with high configuration, connected to these networks. MIT has latest softwares like ORACLE 9i Workgroup Server 8.0, Developer 2000, Visual Studio 6.0, Turbo C++, Turbo Assembler, Matlab, Java 1.6, Dot NET, Auto Desk, AutoCAD R14, Cobol, Pascal, Fortran77, MS Office 2007 running on OS like Win NT, Win 98, Win ME, Win XP and Windows 2000 and Linux.
