About the Principal

Dr. Arpan Dwivedi earned his Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering and a Master's degree in Energy Technology from the University Institute of Technology, RGPV Bhopal. He achieved his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan University, Bhopal, in 2018. With over 17 years of teaching and 13 years of research experience, Dr. Dwivedi specializes in Power Converter, Renewable Energy Systems, Hybridization of Multiple Energy Sources, Power Systems, and Energy Systems. He holds a lifetime membership with ISTE. Dr. Dwivedi has contributed significantly to research with more than 20 published papers in SCIE/Scopus/UGC indexed Journals and International and National Conferences. His expertise extends to the domain of energy storage systems for PV applications and power converters, resulting in the successful filing of five patents.

Additionally, he serves as an editor for esteemed SCIE/Scopus indexed journals and conferences. Demonstrating his commitment to advancing knowledge, Dr. Dwivedi has completed a research project funded by TEQIP with a grant of 1.6 lakh, serving as the Co-Principal Investigator. Furthermore, he has authored three books in various areas, showcasing his multidimensional contributions to academia and research.

Prof. Ashutosh Dixit did his B.E. (CSE). From BIST, Bhopal, and M.Tech(Computer Technology and Application) from IES, Bhopal. He is currently working as HOD (CSE) at MIT, Bhopal, (MP) India. He has more than 10 years of teaching experience His research area focuses on MANET (Mobile Adhoc Network)

Dr. Anil Thakur

Dr. Anil Thakur did his B.E. in Civil Engineering and M.Tech in Construction Technology and Management He completed his Ph.D. from the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), Institute of National Importance(Govt. of India). He is currently working as a Professor and head of Civil Engineering at Mittal Institute of Technology, Bhopal, (MP) India. He has more than 10 years of teaching experience and 5 years of research experience. His Research Areas – Quality management, Waste to wealth, and Geopolymer Material. He has published more than 4 research papers in UGC and SCI Journals. He also presented their work at many International and National conferences including IIT-Bombay. He was also awarded the Fellowship for Training of Young Scientists.

Prof. Amit Kaimkuriya did his B.E. in Mechanical Engineering and M.Tech in Machine Design from RGPV Bhopal and currently, he is pursuing a Ph.D. from VIT Bhopal University, Sehore, M.P. He is currently working as Asst. Professor and Head Department of Mechanical Engineering. He has more than 6 years of teaching experience. His research area focuses on Design Optimization, Metal Forming, and Fatigue structure analysis.

Analyze normal stresses and strains due to axial loading, bending, pressure, and combined loading and investigate transformation equations on inclined sections by Mohr's circle, Analyze shear stresses in beams, in shafts due to torsion, principal stresses, and maximum shear stresses by Mohr’s circle, Understand the design of rods, beams, shafts, columns, and thin walled-pressure-vessel through computing the maximum normal and shear stresses at a point

Fluid Mechanics Lab
Perform and test the flowing fluids, pressure variation, flow in pipes, and the losses, Perform the mass, momentum, and energy conservation laws to fluid mechanics’ problems, Perform and calculate the losses in open channels as well in pipe flow

Theory of Machine Lab
Perform kinematic analysis of planar mechanisms and gear trains including mobility, position, velocity, acceleration analysis, and force analysis, Perform dynamic analysis of planner mechanisms and perform static and dynamic balancing, Perform design of CAM-Follower systems and gear trains and planar mechanisms.

Internal Combustion Engine Lab
Testing of 2-stroke and 4 stroke I.C engines using valves at different load conditions, Analyzing the performance of multi-cylinder engines with the variation of various performances like load and speed, Determine the quality of Engine fuels by analyzing its calorific value, Estimate the constituents of combustion products for emission characteristics related to public safety.

Heat and Mass Transfer Lab
Perform steady-state conduction experiments to estimate the thermal conductivity of different materials for plane, cylindrical, and spherical geometries, Estimate heat transfer coefficients in forced convection, and free convection and determine the effectiveness of heat exchangers, Perform radiation experiments: determine surface emissivity of a test plane and Stefan-Boltzmann's constant and compare with theoretical values.

Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Lab
Testing of the domestic refrigerators at different loads and identifying their important components, Analyze the performance parameters of a vapor compression-based refrigeration system. Analyze basic air conditioning setup and its performance index.

Automobile Engineering Lab
The lab is well-equipped and enables students to understand the fundamentals of Automotive Engineering which include basic structure, body style, power plant, and wheel & tire assembly.
